Summer Computing Academy Program


Keller Hall, 200 Union St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455
from 9:00am to 4:30pm each day of the week

We will meet every day in Keller 4-204C (room opens at 8:30)
The program starts at 9:00 and ends at 4:30.
At the end of the day we go to Keller 4-204C (room open until 5:00)

First Week

Monday June 11

10:00-12:00Lind 40 Intro to linux and to python: math functions
12:00-1:30 Keller 4-204C lunch
1:30-4:30 Lind 40 Turtle graphics
Tuesday June 12
9:00-12:00Lind 40 Python: strings, Caesar cyphrer, cryptography (if/then).
Try to do serious cryptography with Diffie Hellman encryption
Bored? try some simple problems
12:00-1:30 Keller 4-204C Lunch
1:30-4:30 Lind 40 inkscape to design box for laser cutting
Wednesday June 13
9:00-10:30Lind 40 Python: lists and dictionaries
11:00-1:30 Keller 3-210 Talk by Prof. Stephen Guy and lunch with REU students
1:30-2:30 Anderson Lab, ME 2-134 safety training for the lab
2:30-4:30 Lind 40 complete the design of the box
Thursday June 14

1:00-4:00 Medical Device Center/Anderson Lab two groups, one at the Medical Device Center, one in the Anderson Lab. Groups will switch at 2:30.
Wednesday June 20
