The celebrated Geometric Satake Equivalence identifies representations of complex reductive groups with the cohomologies of certain complexes of sheaves on the affine Grassmannian of the dual reductive group. Under the equivalence, representations inherit the natural grading of cohomology degree. In this talk, I will introduce the Geometric Satake Equivalence and discuss the combinatorial and Lie theoretic significance of the topological grading on representations. |
