My research is in commutative algebra and algebraic geometry. In particular, my interests include Hilbert–Samuel multiplicities, Koszul and local cohomology, liaison, and the Gröbner geometry of Nakajima quiver varieties and matrix Schubert varieties.

For academic years 2019-2022, I am a Dunham Jackson Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota, where my mentor is Christine Berkesch. Starting Fall 2022, I will be a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University.

Previously, I was at a postdoc at the University of Kentucky for academic year 2018-2019, where my mentor was Uwe Nagel. I did my Ph.D. work at the University of Michigan, where my advisor was Mel Hochster.
