This is the main entry point for a set of pages that describes some metric properties of attractors and discusses the possible applications to computer simulations of dynamical systems. This paper was written originally in 1988 by Richard McGehee, and the original version is available as a preprint by writing to him at the above address. The version which appears here was transcribed and modified by Tamas Wiandt.
At the same time, these pages demonstrate one way that mathematics can be presented using a network-based multimedia hypertext system in an effective manner. We follow the format and styled developed by Davide Cervone.
