   • 4pm: Webpage Encyclopedia of GIS articles for various chapter has been restored.
   • University technology center is offering workshops on Geographic Information Systems: Analyzing Data and Creating Maps October 15th). It is a nice opportunity to learn about the ESRI ArcView software family. It is also offering workshops on longitudenal census datasets (many dates).
   • 10am: Computer science system staff is working on restoring the webpage containing articles from Encyclopedia of GIS for various chapter.
9. Sept. 23rd, 2010.
   • Homework 1 is due on Thursday, Sept. 30th, 2010.
   • Homework page is revised. The overview table contains links for Textbook problems and Laboratories within relevant cells. It also states Tuesdays due dates for homeworks in designated weeks.
10. Sept. 14th, 2010.
    • Homework 1 is available from this link .
    • Homework 1 include a Oracle based Laboratory section. Dev Oliver (oliver@cs.umn.edu) will assign Oracle accounts for each team later this week after compiling team information from homework 0.
