Math 1571H Honors Calculus Fall Semester 2001

Assignment 14 - Due Thursday 12/13/2001.

Once again I have overestimated what I could do this last week, bearing in mind that there is an exam. Accordingly, the questions I set on section 7.7 will not be due on 12/6 as announced on Assignment 13, but are transferred to this assignment.

The material we cover in the remaining lectures may very well be on the final exam (some of it definitely will be!) and so I think it is a good idea for you to hand in some homework on 12/13. However, there will be no quiz on 12/13, as this would seem to be cruel and unusual punishment.

Read: Simmons sections 7.7, 7.8.

I had hoped that we might also do sections 11.1 - 11.3, but this now seems unlikely.

7.7: 2, 3, 4*, 6, 8*, 14, 16, 18*, 19, 21*
7.8: 4, 6, 8*, 11, 13*, 14

If we get that far:
11.2: 2, 4, 6, 12, 16
11.3: 1, 2, 5, 6

The final exam is on Monday December 17, 1:30-4:30, in Burton Hall 120. This is our usual classroom (which is not generally the case with final exams).
