UMTYMP Fall 2006 / Spring 2007
Website Information
This website is not an official part of your course. In UMTYMP courses we cannot assume students have computers or an internet connections, so you will never be required to access something on this page. For those of you who are online, however, I occasionally post materials on this page.
If you have internet access, the easiest way to reach me is always via email: rogness@math.umn.edu.
General information, including schedules and room locations, can be found on ITCEP's UMTYMP page.
Calculus III
Many of the applets and pictures you've seen in class can be found on the Mathlets page.
Fall 2006 Exams
- Exam 1 Study Guide. Also try this worksheet made for another class. Matching is never enough, of course; you need to be able to explain your choices.
- Exam 1 Study Guide Hints/Answers
- Exam 2 Study Guide: handed out in class. Ask us if you need another copy.
- Exam 3 Study Guide: EXTRA PROBLEMS. The sheet handed out in class didn't include the (Jacobian version of the) Chain Rule or Directional Derivatives, both of which are on the exam. Also recall that linear approximations could turn up.
Spring 2007 Exams
- Exam 1 Study Guide.
- Exam 3 Study Guide. There exist solutions, too. (Let me know if you spot any typos.)
