UMN Combinatorics and Algebra REU

Christine Berkesch, Ben Brubaker, Gregg Musiker, Pasha Pylyavskyy, Vic Reiner

In some form, this REU has been happening since the Summer of 2000.

Our 22nd annual REU program in combinatorics and algebra will take place for 8 weeks in summer 2023,
likely from early-to-mid-June until early August, 2023. We hope that it will be in-person, as long as this can done safely and responsibly.
The coordinators for next summer's program are Pasha Pylyavskyy and Ben Brubaker. Applications will be submitted through MathPrograms, but the application is not up yet; likely it will be similar to past summer's application, which had a deadline of February 16, 2022.
Students will not be required to accept or decline prior to the agreed-upon common REU response deadline of March 8, 2023

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about our REU.
Here is a document with useful info collected by William Yslas Vélez about finding REUs and similar programs,
and a list maintained by Steve Butler..
